Mount Kuratani Yakuso-yuhon (Sutra mound #5)
Sutra mound #5. At the top of Mount Kuratani is a stone monument engraved with the bonji (Sanskrit) script representing the Buddhist deity Fudo Myo-o. According to a Shugendo training record of the mid-Edo Period (18th century), the sutra mound was at Enmyo-ji Temple, a part of the Negoro-ji Temple complex. But another source, the Katsurei-zakki guidebook written in 1849 by the priest Chiko, notes that the sutra mound is on Mount Kuratani. Taken together, the evidence suggests that the sutra mound was transferred.
