Sightseeing―Osaka area

Chikatsu Asuka Museum

This museum focuses on archaeological findings from the Kofun Period (about 1,700 to 1,300 years ago). The exhibition area has the form of a keyhole-shaped tumulus. Here, you’ll find valuable excavated artifacts and a model of Emperor Nintoku’s tomb, a World Heritage Site. Famed architect Tadao Ando conceived the museum’s bare concrete design.
