Uoichi Shoten
This shop on the approach to Awashima-jinja Shrine was founded more than 60 years ago. It’s a great place to stop on your way to the shrine to buy any of a host of items including Tomogashima nori (dried seaweed) (1,450 yen) and wakame seaweed from Kada. In the shop, you can eat sazae no tsuboyaki (turban shell baked in the shell) and okugai (hard clams) chock full of meat, all grilled right in front of you.
