Kehayaza Katsuragi City Sumo Museum
This sumo museum was created in honor of Taima no Kehaya, a native of Katsuragi who is said to have invented sumo. Enjoy learning about the sport’s history by looking at some of the approximately 13,000 documents and artifacts. With a full-scale dohyo (sumo ring) that visitors can step in to, the museum is a must for sumo fans.
